A combination of traditional yoga poses, pilates, and dance with the use of a hammock. Aerial Yoga allows you to defy gravity by performing various poses that may be difficult to do on the ground, but easier in mid-air. The hammock will guide you to deeper stretches, spinal decompression, and a playful experience as we float & flip in the silks. Open to all levels of students. We will mix traditional mat yoga with a silk hammock to elevate your practice. It is suggested to wear fitted long pants & sleeved shirts; no zippers. Please remove all jewelry and hair-clips as the fabric can snag on such items.
Contraindications: pregnancy, glaucoma, recent surgery, heart disease, very high or low blood pressure, easy onset vertigo, osteoporosis/bone weakness, recent concussion or head injury, head cold or sinusitis, hiatal hernia or disc herniation, recent stroke, artificial or resurfaced hips, Botox injections (within 24 hours of class); please talk to your teacher prior to practicing if you have any health concerns
Hot Power Yoga
Move through a series of postures to create balance in our mind and body. Stretch and strength, movement and stillness. Create a more harmonious internal environment while practicing, breathing, and meditating in a heated room.
This class is for all levels, from beginner to the experienced. Follow Kara as she emphasizes on alignment, movement, and following your breath. The breath and movement are used to build heat, balance the nervous system, and revitalize the body and mind. This class is great for learning the basic practice, as well as deepening your skill level to an intermediate and advanced practice. Class concludes with a deep relaxing guided meditation.

This practice is wonderful for those who are new to yoga, those who have stiff bodies, or experienced practitioners who feel they would benefit from slowing down for deeper understanding.
